The End Result

The End Result

"In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you."
John 14:2
"Come to him, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God’s sight, and like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house..."
1 Peter 2:4-5

The Father's house is not some mansion in the sky accessible only after death. The dwelling places are us, right here, right now. Christ in you, your hope of glory is both the result and the reward of the weekend's events. The sin issue has been dealt with. All barriers have been removed. There is nothing left but to abide.
"Abide in me as I abide in you...I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing...My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples."
John 15:4-5;7

By what means?
"Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Romans 12:2
"You were taught to put away your former way of life...and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to clothe yourselves with the new self, created according to the likeness of God..."
Ephesians  4:22-24

What fruit?
"By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness gentleness, and self-control.."
Galatians 5:22
“...clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.”
Colossians 3:12-13

Jesus spent three years showing us how to live. Now He helps us live what He has shown. This is why we are here. This is how we bring glory to God. "I glorified you on earth by finishing the work that you gave me to do...Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
John 17:3; 6:28.
Believe (not about, in). Now the relationship-and the adventure-begins.
